Who are we?

 

We're SurveyLabs, and we respect privacy and seek to protect our users' information. This Privacy Statement does not apply to investigations that you agree to participate in that are administered by a third party. In these cases, SurveyLabs is not the originator of the surveys, and the technology/media and findings or survey data of these surveys are and will be controlled by the originator of these surveys. Please refer to the relevant sponsors' privacy policies for more information about these sponsors' privacy practices.

 

The information we collect and how do we use it

 

We may collect, use, store and transmit different types of personal data about you, They mainly status data (such as name, date of birth, marital status, gender, member ID and user name), contact information (such as postal address, E-mail address, and phone number), special categories of personal data (such as racial/ethnic origin, health, genetic, political opinion, religion, sexual orientation, and sex), the personal data (such as interest and preference , feedback and investigation response, including but not limited to; Age, marital status, gender, birth date, family size, income, education and employment status), technical data (such as IP, login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in type and version, operating system and platform, etc.).

We will process your personal data with your consent (as is required by law in some countries), using legal grounds. Our primary goal is to improve and ensure that our services and messages are relevant to all of our users, while ensuring that all of our users' personal information is respected and protected. The specific purposes are as follows: to collect information using cookies to ensure the normal operation of all functions of our investigation services; Use contact information to respond to inquiries you submitted to us as a responder; Using information about how you use our services to improve the services we provide to you and to all users; Using device data to solve our service problems and improve it, we also infer your geographic location based on your IP address. Use record data for many different business purposes, primarily to monitor cheating and create new service capabilities. Collect and use information from third parties and integration partners to make it easier for creators to send you surveys/forms/applications/questionnaires. We may need to disclose any information or data we hold about you in order to respond to legal requirements or to prevent fraud.

 

Who do we share your personal data with?

 

The responses we collect from you through surveys are provided to our clients anonymously and aggregated or under pseudonyms. If we provide the results anonymously and aggregated, the results include information about groups of individuals, rather than information at the individual level. If we provide results under a pseudonym, the results will be based on an individual, using a unique identifier, such as the team member ID you assigned, but will not include your identity data or contact data.

Data about your identity or contact data will only be provided to our clients for research purposes in the context of a particular survey, and we will never provide our clients with the applicable laws and market research codes of practice for such data unless we first obtain your consent and confirm with them that their use is consistent with our regulations.

Although we make every effort to protect your privacy, we may be required to disclose your personal data in response to legitimate requests from public authorities, including national security or law enforcement requests. We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as in compliance with subpoenas or other legal procedures, when we sincerely believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect the safety of you or others, investigate fraud or violations of our website terms, or respond to government requests.

 

What security measures do we have in place to protect your personal data?

 

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent accidental loss, unauthorized use or access, alteration or disclosure of your personal data. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will process your personal data only as directed by us and they have a duty of confidentiality.

We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected breach of personal data and will notify you and any applicable regulatory or supervisory body if we are required to do so by law.

 

Children's privacy

 

SurveyLabs will not knowingly collect any information about a child under the age of 16 without the permission of the parent, legal guardian or adult responsible for the child. Qualified "young people" (individuals aged 16 to 17) may be invited to join our youth groups from time to time. We comply with COPPA, the EU's Safer Internet Initiative, the General Data Protection Regulation and ESOMAR's guidance in relation to the Children and Young People Survey. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 16 and are aware that your child has provided us with personal data and you are unaware of such treatment, please contact us in accordance with the instructions in this privacy statement and we will take immediate and reasonable steps to remove any such information.

 

Your rights

 

Surveylabs complies with applicable privacy laws, such as the General Data Protection Act (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You may be entitled to exercise the following rights over your data:

Access: Find out the type of personal information about you and get a copy of that information.

Correction right: request to update or correct your information.

Data Portability Right: To receive a copy of the information you provide under the contract so that you can make it available to other organizations.

Restriction of Access: Require that the use of your personal information cease under certain circumstances, including if you believe that the use of your personal information is incorrect or illegal.

The right object: the object uses your information, one party is processing it on a legitimate interest basis, and the target requests deletion of your personal information.

The right to delete (also known as the right to be forgotten) : Under certain circumstances, request that your personal information be deleted.You have the right to opt out of Onlineurveylabs. You can opt out by sending an email to privacy@onlinesurveylabs.com

 

Privacy statement changes

 

We may change the Privacy Fundamentals and this Privacy Statement from time to time. We will determine the changes we have made on this page. If a change materially alters the way we collect or use your Personal Information or Data, we will send a notice of this change to all account holders.

 

GDPR

 

Surveylabs promises and protects your data to help you understand and prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below are some of our notes on GDPR compliance.

 

  1. Ask permission before sending an online survey

 

When we send surveys, we ensure that the data subject consents to us managing their personal data for one or more specific purposes. Respondents will be fully and responsibly informed of why their personal data is being collected, where it is being stored, when it will be processed, and how it will be used in the future. Personal data refers to the interviewee's name, email address, telephone number, etc., and such information will only be used within a given consent range.

 

  1. Exit options

 

When inviting respondents to respond to the survey, we make sure to include an opt-out option.

 

  1. Minor data processing

 

If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 16 and are aware that your child has provided us with personal data and you are unaware of such treatment, please contact us as described in the privacy statement and we will take immediate and reasonable steps to remove any such information.

 

  1. Integrate survey data with third-party applications

 

When integrating respondents' personal survey data into third party applications, we verify in advance that these third parties are also complying with GDPR requirements. Typically, we do this by updating vendor agreements to comply with GDPR.

 

  1. Data control and retention

 

We authorize all customers to control their data through their accounts. As long as your account is active, you have complete control over certain types of data and how long you hold it. For example, you can delete or export individual survey responses from your account if desired. We accept all content that is removed from an account, and all account data that you delete is permanently removed from our backup within 90 days.

 

  1. International data centres

 

We will host our users' data in the EU as they wish.

 

 

CCPA

 

This notice describes the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This statement consists of the following parts:

 

1. We do not sell your personal information. If you believe that advertising or analysis by a website using third party cookies or similar techniques constitutes a "sale" under CCPA, you may opt out or manage your right to your cookie preferences.

 

2. Your CCPA rights. Subject to certain restrictions, California residents have the right to require us to disclose the Personal Information we have collected about you, to delete any Personal Information we have collected or maintained about you, and to elect not to sell any Personal Information about you.
